Collection: Tree agate

For centuries, the term "Agate" was used to refer to all colored or banded minerals. Thus, despite its name, Dendritic Agate is actually a variety of Chalcedony. Its name refers to the green inclusions that cross its white surface, forming a delicate and aesthetic plant-like pattern. Contrary to popular belief, Dendritic Agate and Moss Agate, although they share a leafy appearance, are two distinct stones. Dendritic Agate, also called Tree Agate, gets its name from the Greek word "dendron" which means "tree".
